The first diagram illustrates the different stages involved in the process of cement making. The second diagram provides information about the production of concrete from cement and other materials.

Overall, the production of cement involves several steps from limestone to cement ready for distribution. Meanwhile, cement along with other materials are used in cement production.

Initialy, limestone and clay are powderized by a crusher. The resulting powder is mixed thoroughly inside a cylindrical mixer; then, it is passed along a tube to a rotating heater, where heat is continuously delivered into it. The heated mixture is laid out on a conveyor and is further processed by a grinder to become cement. After which, the cement is bagged ready for consumption.

There are four basic materials in concrete production: cement (15%), water (10%), sand (25%), and gravel (50%). Gravel is the term used for small stones. The materials are placed inside a concrete mixer, where they are mixed thoroughly until they become concrete for building purposes.
