Please review my statement of purpose
Please review my statement of purpose and help me.
I'm looking forward to get LL.M. in Business Law that deepens my awareness about many important topics from contracts, transactions, bankruptcy, and taxation to banking, trade regulation, competition, finance, and intellectual property. Such LL.M. has a rich curriculum that includes for instance subjects like accounting for lawyers, commercial transactions, corporations, taxation of business entities, international arbitration and international business transactions. The special thing about Business Law LL.M. is that "It provides a chance to delve into the detail, but also appreciate the context of a specialist field from an international and comparative perspective. With a law degree students learn the language of the law; with a good LL.M. they can pick up its nuances." says Spyros Maniatis, director of the Center for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary University London.
As a graduate of the English Section of the Faculty of Law my career is much related to contracts, international transactions, corporations and other areas that all belong to commercial law, international arbitration and international law, but when I started to pursue this career I realized that my previous education didn't qualify me for such a purpose, I was just qualified for national contracts written in English not international transactions because all what I learned was centered about Egyptian laws only and therefore I had to limit my work to national issues but never lost hope in crossing boarders of national law and that is the reason why I'm looking forward to get LL.M. in Business Law from USA.
Getting this LL.M. will help me in making contributions to my father's law firm as I'll be able to give a hand in the international cases he meets specially with his American clients, also getting this LL.M. from USA will enrich my English language and legal terminology which will help me in my work as a teacher of legal terminology at the Egyptian Bar Association. Plus being a volunteer tutor to the law students of the English section makes me need this LL.M to increase my understanding to law in general and American law in particular as we have some common law books in the English section and consequently I should be able to transfer this wider understanding to the students.
Having Business Law LL.M. will not only help me with my current jobs as a lawyer and a teacher but will also open many doors to me; on the personal level it will enable me to teach at universities whether public or private, and it will support my admission to be a judge at the council of the state, while on the national level I've a big goal that is to be a member of the parliament and that's because I want to make a gain of my father's political role in this field and getting this LL.M. from USA will be a big addition to me as a candidate to that position, I also seek that position as I've always wanted to have a role in the legislation making process and getting LL.M. in Business Law from USA will help me to do this role perfectly because it will make me more aware of the American law and the regulatory rules of the international business transaction, consequently I can participate in issuing laws that is in conformity with them as it is a global trend now to make conformity between laws of the states to ease international trade and international business transactions.
I'm sure that no goals on the national and international levels can be achieved without combination and accumulation of efforts but at the end the individual effort is a part of the entirety.
