Please proof read my SOP. I'll be applying for 'Construction Materials' as MS Degree option . I'm looking for colleges like University of Idaho , Cambridge Univesity and KAUST.
All my life I’ve efficiently utilized and believed in my innovative and creative potential. My curiosity has led me to dive into fields which I found wonderful and pursued them to the end. My winning of ‘ Intel provincial contest 2005’ , making of Fermented Ethanol in 6th grade and working on two innovative research projects independently in sophomore year testify to this fact. What increased my love for innovation was the acceptance of my paper at International Conference at Sweden, June 2013 where only 30 papers were selected from all over world. Note here that I carried out all experiments alone which exceeded more than 50 and wrote the paper all by myself. Not surprisingly , I have recently started working on a project of ‘ Self- Healing of Asphalt Road ‘ which nobody in my college or country has ever worked on but for me it looks profoundly exciting. But I do carry out other fun activities too. Poetry has been tethered to me as a stigma of my life. I continue to write poetry in my spare time which broadens my imaginary vision and deepen my knowledge into creation of life and love by stepping outside the busy hustle of life which in turn when culminated with my engineering career produces a sweet amalgam. Lately, I wrote my poetry anthology titled “The Zahir” which includes spiritual, philosophical, social poems that provide inspiration to those who are weak. The manuscript is ready and seeks publisher to bring it into the market. Coordination with the team in a project and delivering the results in perilous times has been my skill. When US State of Department sponsored me for a six month semester exchange program at University of Idaho, Moscow, I had the liberty to choose any subject I wanted. Including my lovely NASA Space Elevator Research Project and Near Space Engineering Program. Managing the work of tracking Space Balloon with GPS device, working with Communication Team and testing the solar reflectors under solar radiance were things I absolutely loved. Why the your program fascinates me? Because I can think of amazing innovative research ideas within its scope. Especially the subfield of ‘Zero Energy House’ has captured my interest for the past year and I’ve worked on it with one of my professors for three months learning the software (Design Builder etc.) for its design. I even did a Coursera MOOC in it. I plan to continue my MS to PhD and employ bio inspired techniques for the design of materials that can effectively cut down the energy costs and make this earth a better living place. Rejections have been a part of my life. Who would still work on his paper after his paper has been turned down more than 30 times? Failure has been my best friend and I think that’s exactly what a noble research scientist needs to help the humanity. I’ve been never afraid to venture into things I love. They say God created world out of love. If that’s the case, then love is my life and death. I’d seek love and I’d spread love. I’ve seen the ongoing research on your university website and it’s truly fabulous. If you select me, I’d do everything I can to make you proud. I would work day and night in labs and spend every minute for the work I’ll be chosen for. Let me be the one.
