My essay:

Playing games has nearly become a daily activity since it appeared in Vietnam. Game is divided into two kinds, there are free games and paid games. Recently, the dissimilarities and similarities of them have been a subject which has attention from many people. Although the distance between free games and paid games has narrowed gradually, it has some differences.

Both of them have the same function which is an entertainment tool for players. They help us clear away stress after working or studying hard. The gameplay of free games and paid games are quite similar. Also, they have diverse genres of games.

In spite of their similarities, they are very different. In Vietnam, free games are more popular than paid games because most Vietnamese people just like to use free things and they think that spending money buying games is a real waste of money. Moreover, most game distributors pump a great deal of money into the marketing campaign for free online games. For example, Garena game distributor has spent a lot of money inviting Cristiano Ronaldo who is one of the most famous football players in the world to become a global brand ambassador for the latest version of the Free Fire game recently. Though free games are more well-known, it does not have not as good quality as paid games. Game programmers attribute great importance to the graphic of paid games. They design graphic of paid games like reality as much as they can to bring a good experience to players and match the sum of money players pay. In addition, paid games depend on the skills of players very much. It makes players improve a lot of soft skills such as problem solving, leading, teamwork skills. Meanwhile, when we play a free game, we just need to buy items to become more powerful without trying hard. In fact, the amount of money players spend buying items in free games is much more than buying paid games. Besides paid games has more realistic graphic, it also has better customer service. When players have any problems in a paid game like design fault, hack situation of other players and players can send an email about it, game distributors solve their problem quickly. In contrast to paid games, players can send an email about their problem in a free game but game distributors do not actually care about their problem much and they solve it very slowly.

In conclusion, paid games are not similar to free games. For me personally, I would rather play a paid game to have a good experience rather than play a free game if I had a lot of money.
