Question: Please describe what motivated you to apply for this program and what you think other participants will learn from you during the program. ( The program is about Science, Technology, and Innovation, specifically innovation and sustainability in the smart city, among the youth participants from ASEAN, Korea, China, and Japan)

I would love to participate in an ASEAN-Korea Youth Network Workshop for various reasons. Firstly, I have discovered that my passion truly lies in cultures. My aspiration is to experience above five foreign countries before the age of 30. Fortunately, I was an exchange participant of Clean Our Plate project at the University of Putra Malaysia last June 2018. I develop both interpersonally and professionally from that international environment. I am still looking for challenges of living and studying independently abroad, which I am surely ready to handle.

Secondly, I choose Korea and Singapore because they are ones of the most developed countries in the world where I could learn from other students about their experiences, attitudes, and other prime aspects among the participants. In addition, this workshop concentrates on Science, Technology, Innovation, and Sustainability to solve current urban solutions so that I would gain my environmental, social understanding and then apply to my community.I would love to participate in an ASEAN-Korea Youth Network Workshop for various reasons. This opportunity provides me to build networking with ASEAN, Korean, Japanese, Chinese students with valuable stories and experiences in life. The unique opportunity to enhance both worldwide knowledge and experience cultural activities is the biggest motivation to apply to this program.

One of my biggest strengths is to motivate myself and people in up and down situations. I am a self-motivated person so that people could learn through my failure and success in life. When I was studying General Practitioner, I had to take a risk to step out my comfort zone and discover my strengths and weaknesses. I believe the story that how I have found myself is a great gift for anyone who is doubting about themselves. I now find myself inspired to take on a new goal of helping millennials through self-reflection to achieve a bigger purpose.

Moreover, I could contribute my environmental understanding that I have learned through the project in Malaysia. By discussing with other exchange participants, I believe that there are several workable solutions such as making composting, taking zero challenges, for instance, which could be applied in many countries to overcome environmental issues in several countries.

Finally, I believe that my knowledge about the Vietnamese people, history, and beauty as a Vietnamese citizen, the other exchange participants would have a better view of my country. I was also a tour guide since I was in the first year in Economics University that makes me confident about my introduction about Vietnamese untold truths. I am certain that exchange information about nations is one of the perfect to reduce conflicts between nations.
