Please Review my Motivation Letter (Asap)

Hello Dear;

I have written a motivation letter for me to apply for a phd position.... and I need a help to review my motivation letter to improve it... it is the first one for me ! ... I'm waiting your advice.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I am *****, a research and teaching assistant at Systems and Biomedical Engineering department, *** University. I took the bachelor degree from the Systems and Biomedical department at *** University in July 2010 with distinction with honor grade (rank: 3/200). Afterwards, I started my masters of Science degree in September 2010 and completed the premaster stage with GPA of 3.73/4.0 (A-). Then and directly, I began my masters’ thesis, which is titled *****, and received my masters of Science degree at the same department in September 2013.

I am very excited by medical image processing and signal processing, and I hope that soon I will bring my contribution in this area, especially in image analysis including image interpretation, and segmentation.

During my undergraduate study, I took Biological Signal Processing course on the third year with grade of distinction and Digital Image Processing course on the fourth year with grade of distinction, with Prof.**** (Link for him). After I had graduated and been employed as a research and teaching assistant at the same university and department, I assist Assoc. Prof. **** (Link for him) on teaching both Introduction to Image Processing and Mathematical Methods for Image Processing courses to undergraduate students at **** University. During my premaster study, I took Biomedical Signal Processing elective course to learn more and more. I found that it is an interesting challenge to have the ability to process images to identify specific disease, mass or any other target. In addition, analyze images and having the ability to represent these images on a limited number of parameters is a great target to be achieved especially with the massive number of images (storage and runtime wise), the exponential increase in diseases complexity, and the need to identify lots of parameters and create complex correlations.

When I had had to decide the topic of my masters’ thesis, I chose image processing main track to work on it, especially ***. Under the supervision of Prof. **** (Link for him) and Assoc. Prof. *** (Link for him) I made my masters’ thesis, where the topic of my research is to ****. I published a paper on CBMS 2013 conference on Porto, Portugal from this work.

I find that the school of electrical engineering on **** includes several programs that match my interest and I believe that I can add something on that field. These programs are mainly in the following laboratories; Signal Processing laboratory and Medical Image Processing laboratory. It is of my honor to be one of these laboratories team members.

Regarding my extracurricular activities, I like cycling, aerobics, hiking, and traveling. I appreciate the value of commitment, insistence, ambition, and team spirit.
