You are renting a flat from an agency. Your contract was for one year but you need to leave the flat two months early.
Write a letter to the agency. In your letter
Sir/Madam,
I am Mr. John who rents a flat of yours in Lincoln’s Road. Through this medium, I would like to inform you that I am leaving the building early before completing one year as made in the contract.
The contract for my rent is one year and I have lived there for ten months. Unfortunately, due to my work related nature, I have to break the contract. The reason for such is generally the posting for my job is three years and so accordingly, I signed the agreement where I thought I would have stayed at least one year but this time abruptly I have been posted only after few months. So, I won’t be staying for the remaining two months.
Therefore, it is my request to you, if possible refund the deposited money for that remaining two months. I hope that you will understand my situation and consider upon it. Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
Mary
