The society would benefit from a ban on all forms of advertising because it serves no useful purpose, and can even be damaging. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Nowadays, advertisements play an important role in modern society and it is ubiquitous from radio, the Internet to Tv programs. It is undoubted that advs have some drawbacks, but the positives outweigh the negatives. Personally, I think all kinds of advertisings should not be banned.

In fact, advs can harm viewers in many ways. First, watching lots of advertisements promotes consumerism. People are never satisfied as well as always want to buy “newer and better” products because of numerous interesting advs in present society. Furthermore, some advertisements show dangerous stunts which may be copied by children. Therefore, they tend to imitate violent actions and sometimes get hurt. Moreover, toddlers are really keen on extravagant toys, clothes or legos that can upset the family’s budget.

On the other hand, the advantages of advs far outweigh the disadvantages. With the advent of modern technologies, advertisements provide an amount of useful information for customers. Needless to say, lots of products would not be bought without advs. Furthermore, advertising industries are very vital because it creates job for thousands of citizens as well as provides important servies to manufactures and some consumers. In those respects, it is the backbone of numerous economies around the world. Last but not least, people have a chance to know about many secluded areas, traditional cultures or cuishines of many foreign nations through advertisements. For instance, when we see a Japanese advs of a lady wearing kimono, we come to know more about the traditional clothes this beautiful country.

In conclusion, advertisements also bring either pros or cons for viewers. Personally, I think each person and the goverment should select the suitable advs to absorb as well as censor carefully to avoid all forms of illegal avds for bringing the benefits as much as possible.
