In the last century, the first man to walk on the moon said it was "a giant leap for mankind”. However, some people think it has made little difference to our daily lives. To what extent do you agree or disagree

In the past, the first man who stepped on the moon last century contended it did wonders for human beings, while these days other individuals assert that it made little contribution to ordinary life. I rather disagree with the given perspective.

On the one hand, the aforementioned advancement can be considered pointless to scores of residents. Space exploration requires tremendous effort, time, and scientists to conduct a project, which all comes at a prohibitively exorbitant charge. However, it made no contribution to coping with a wide range of more thorny issues that on regular basis human beings have to face up to such as health, education or employment. A case in point is in Latin America, there is a sheer number of underprivileged citizens miring in hunger and illiteracy due to the fact that their state officials take financial priority to space traveling in lieu of humanitarian aid.

On the other hand, space accomplishments can play an indispensable role in accommodating citizens. At any rate, on the grounds of a wide range of human-induced catastrophes like sea levels rising or ice thawing, the natural environment on the globe is being aggravated and uninhabitable. Besides, the menace of meteoroids crashing into Earth will also jeopardize and even put the human race at risk of extinction. As a result, in the foreseen future, mankind may no longer immigrate there and correspondingly are obliged to seek other inhabitable planets. Therefore, space traveling is an inevitable contributor to helping the masses survive.

In conclusion, although space exploration can make little contribution to ameliorating some problems, it is difficult to neglect its paramount benefits to mankind’s survival issue. Hence, I rather declare against the given point of view.
