Write about the following topic.

Some people feel that manufacturers and supermarkets have the responsibility to reduce the amount of packaging of goods. Others argue that customers should avoid buying goods with a lot of packaging. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Answer

Nowadays, many people consider that manufacturers and supermarkets are responsible for the reduction of the amount of packaging of goods. Meanwhile other people think that customers should buy goods without packaging. In my opinion, companies and supermarkets should be the one to decrease the packaging goods.

With regards to manufacturers, they should reduce the amount of packaging goods for two reasons. Firstly, they can produce reuseable packages like packages made from styrofoam, or fabric. In that way they can avoid making too much trash that are harmful to the environment. Secondly, companies and supermarkets ought to use less plastic or boxes so that they can cut down on the amount of trees and chemical that are expensive materials and maybe harm people's life.

On the other hand, customers are expected to avoid buying goods with lots of packaging. The first thing they can do to reduce packagings is that they bring their own bags . For example, if you go to the supermarket to buy fruits , you should bring a bag to take them . This will help lessen the trash and litter made from plastic. After that, they can reuse the packaging that they received . For instance, if you buy something that is packaged by styrofoam box, you should reuse it to contain old books . It will make your house more tidy.

Sum up, both manufacturers and customers should cut down the amount of packaging of goods because it can help build a more clean environment and make people's life more healthy.
