Topic: Some people believe that nowadays we have too many choices. To what extend do you agree or disagree with this statement?
My essay:
It is sometimes admitted that people thesedays have many options to choose. I partly agree with with this statement because of the following reasons.
On the one hand, people from middle-class or wealthy family apparently have many choices in their life. First of all, they have the opportunity to go to school, learn many subjects and take part in lots of activities, which lead to a variety of career choices in the future as they have so many experience. Secondly, people have a large number of destinations they can visit domestically and internationally due to the fact that the improvement in transportation and globalisation have made travellling become easier and more common among ordinary people. Last but not least, the Internet has made shopping online familiar with everyones that increase the amount of good reaching users. For instance, in the past, locals could only buy the products that are sold in the local markets, nevertheless, global citizens today can order any products from any countries in the world through e-commercial sites like Amazone, Ebay, etc,…
On the other hand, people who are financial unstable don’t have many choices in there life because of the lack of econimic potential. Due to the insufficient amount of money, they do not have the opportunity to go to their dream school. For example, in some rural area, the children have no choice but go out to work at the very young age in order to help their weather-beaten parents. As a result, if there is no breakthrough in these children’ s life, they are likely to suffer from many other difficulties in their future such as finding a stable job, buying a house or giving birth to their little children, which means that they have no choice in life.
In conclusion, I partly agree with the statement that people today have too many choices because it depends on many factors such as financial status.
