Please Review My IELTS Writing Task 2

Some people decide to start their own business instead of working for a company or organization.
Do the advantages for people working for their own business outweigh the disadvantages?

In recent years, there has been an increasing number of people who make a decision to open and run their own business rather than applying for a job in a company. However, whether this tendency brings about immense benefits or there are more problems associated with it. This essay will give an insight into the issue and provide my personal perspective.

On the one hand, it is undeniable that starting their own enterprises may bring significant advantages to many. First of all, it offers people valuable opportunities to gain various new experiences at the same time. This is due to the fact in order to manage the whole company or corporation, the owner usually have to acquire myriad skills such as financial management, time management, sales, marketing and so on, so they have to try their best to accomplish them. Secondly, there is no denying that operating their own business means that people can do whatever they feel suitable and beneficial for them most, thus resulting in more efficient working and higher profit. It is statistically shown that people who operate their own business have higher chances of being successful and getting wealthy at the younger age than others.

On the other hand, I am of the opinion that there are more disadvantages coming from opening private company. One may have to deal with a huge number of challenges and difficulties before they can lead their business to a success, even when it is a very small one. The reason behind this may be that they have to handle almost everything by themselves, let alone competing with other companies in the cut-throat market these days. Moreover, without working for a company beforehand, people are not likely to obtain the skill of human management. This could result in the lack of ability to recruit qualified employees, or to solve the conflicts among colleagues within their own business.

To recapitulate, there are both merits and demerits of having private business. Nevertheless, I am convinced that people should spend some time working for a company before starting their own one.
