Topic: Some people believe that crime is a result of social problems and poverty, others think that crime is a result of bad person's nature. Discuss both views and give your own opinon.
It's true that the reason why people commit a crime is a result of bad individual's nature. While many people agree with this idea, i contend that a result of social issues and poverty is one of the most reasons which make people break the law.
On the one hand, a bad personality is a thing which breeds future offenders. First, some argue that an individual who is cruel turn to crime more easily than a kind person. In school, for example, children bulling other girls and boys may turn into a violent criminal in the future. Second, laziness is a common characteristic among criminals, especially thieves. They want to be rich wuickly wiothout making an honest living. Therefor, they get a lot of easy money by stealing from banks or houses.
On the other hand, I strongly believe that society problems and poverty is a pivotal reason to explain why people are convicted to a crime. First and foremost, in terms of social problems are concerned, people easy to be tempted to commit a crime. For instance, unemployment rate and crime rate have the same trend. I mean, if a nation has more unemployeds, this country also have more thieves and crooks. Another reason is that, poverty in general leads to a rise in crime. To make ends meet, it is not strange that they resort to crime.
In conclusion, although both views certainly have some validity, in my opinion, the principle causes of crime are a result of social conditions and problems.
