The given diagram illustrates the process of making chocolate from cocoa beans.
Overall, there are 9 steps involved in the making of chocolate, starting with collecting ripe cocoa pods and finishing with the formation of chocolate bars.
The first step of making chocolate is the extraction of white cocoa beans from the ripe red pods. Subsequently, these beans undergo fermentation for a period raging from 2 to 10 days. Then, fermented beans are sun-dried before roasted over the flame which is from 120oC to 150oC.
After being roasted, beans are crushed in order to get rid of shell. Afterwards, the powder originating from inner part of beans is coached, leading to the formation of a liquid. Finally, the resulting mixture is then tempered and molded to become chocolate bars.
