Writing task 1 : The graph below shows the amount of money spent on books in Germany, France, Italy and Australia between 1995 and 2005.
The line graph compares the amount of money expenditured on books in four different countries namely: Germany,France,Italy and Australia over a period of 10 years.
Overall, there was an increase in the amount of money spent on books in four all nations, with Australia witnessing the most dramatic rise. In addition, Germany consistently had the highest figures during the period shown.
In 1995, the figure for Germany was 80 million US dollars; France,Italy were 50 and about 54 millions respectively. Whereas, Australia was the lowest figure with 30 millions. Four years later, the amount of money in Germany, France, Australia grew continuously by about 10 millions. By contrast, the figure for Italy fluctuated slightly between 50 millions and 55 millions.
From to 1999 to 2003, the amount of money in France, Italy went up constantly. While, the figure for Australia climbed enormously between 40 millions and 60 millions over the 4-year period . For the rest of the period, the amount of money in Germany, France, Italy, Australia increased gradually and Germany reached a peak of some 98 million US dollars.
