The bar chart compares the proportion of daily Internet users in five different age groups in the UK over a four-year period from 2003.
Overall, the percentage of internet users in five age groups increased from 2003 to 2006. People who was in the age bracket 16-24 had the highest proportion of using internet.
In detail, the 16-24 age group had the highest Internet users over the period shown, it was about 80% in both 2003 and 2004, and increased considerably to 100% in one year later, but decreased by 15% in 2006. In 2003, people who used the internet in the age bracket 25-44 was about 50%, which was lower than 45-54 age group by 10%. However, in 2006, the proportion of internet users in both these groups was the same, 80%. People who aged from 55-64 accounted for 30% in 2003, and increase to about 50% in 3 years later. Of all five, the least internet users was over 65 age group, with no users in 2003 and with 20% in 2006.
