My essay:

The table illustrates the amount of money in five European countries for sales of Fairtrade products, specifically coffee and bananas in the period of 1999 and 2004. The sales of Fairtrade coffee grew in all five countries, while the sales of Fairtrade bananas rose in three out of five European countries between 1999 and 2004. Overall, the UK and Switzerland were the highest levels of expenditure on both products.

In 1999, Switzerland had the highest sales of Fairtrade products, at €3 million. By 2004, the revenue of Fairtrade coffee in Switzerland had increased to €47 million, which was more than double of revenue from the same Fairtrade product, at €20 million in that year. Three out of five European countries, which were Denmark, Belgium, and Sweden, had slight rises in revenue from Fairtrade coffee, with respectively €2 million, €1.7 million, and €1 million after five years, starting from 1999. The turnover of Fairtrade bananas in both Sweden and Denmark had a small decline by €1 million and €0.9 million respectively over the period of 2004. The amount money of expensed on Fairtrade bananas in Belgium climbed to €4 million in the period of 2004, which was almost four times higher than the one in 1999, with €0.6 million.

To put it succinctly, the turnover of spending on Fairtrade products such as coffee and bananas over two years was the highest in Switzerland and the UK.
