Please Review My IELTS Writing Task 1

Task 1: The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did a regular physical activity in 2010.

The grouped bar chart above compares the proportion of people in Australia according to age and gender who exercise regularly in 2010.

Overall, the female worked out more than the male. It is evident that the men aged 15 to 24 and the women aged 45 to 54 accounted for the highest percentage of the total people who exercise regularly.

In terms of people aged 15 to 24, 52,8 percent of boys participated in regular physical activities, 5,1 percent higher than girls. From that year onward, the former percentage of men decreased significantly to roughly 39,5 percent when they reached 35 to 44 years old while the latter increased slightly to 52,5 percent.

Turning to the other remaining groups, participation in physical activities became quite popular among women, attracting about 53 percent of people in the 45 to 54 and 55 to 64 age groups. The rate for males was much lower, at 43,1 percent and 45,1 percent respectively. Both age groups 65 and over who exercise regularly accounted for a similar percentage, at around 47 percent.
