The bar chart gives information about the gender distribution of teachers working on campus across a range of educational settings in the UK in 2010.
In general, three of the six different types of schools that have equivalent gender are secondary school, college, and private training institute, ranging approximately from 47% to 52%. Meanwhile, male and female teachers in college get the same percentage, 50% accurately.
A glance at the chart reveals that females outnumbered males in the first two types of school for children under ten years old, nursery, and primary school, whilst there were nearly 99% and around 95% respectively. On the contrary, male teachers in university were up to roughly two-third and they were two times as many as female teachers.
Overall, the chart indicates pre-schools and elementary schools continue to be female-dominated, whereas the gap was not significantly different in terms of the upper level of the educational setting.
