Task 1: The following are two filter systems.Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant
The diagrams compare two water filter systems, the cross section filter and the simple outdoor filling and storage system.
It can easily be seen that although the two systems follow a similar process, the cross section filter appears to be more effective and space-saving than the other.
The first diagram illustrates a cross section filter system. It is a metal container with the capacity of 20 litres and has three layers of filters. First, the untreated water follows an inlet and goes into the container. It then goes through different filters including sand, tiny stones and pipe holes. After finishing, the filtered water follows an outlet and goes out of the system.
The second diagram shows a simple outdoor filling and storage system. The system includes multiple containers connected to each other. The untreated water is stored in the first one. It then goes through the container filled by sand for filtering and later stored in the storage container, ready for household uses. This system appears to be more convenient for installing at home, however, the quality of water is not ensured.
The diagrams [ 1] compare show two water filter systems, [ 2] the cross section a compact 3-layer filter and the a simple outdoor [ 3] filling filtration and storage system. It can easily be seen that although the two systems remove impurities from water, [ 4] follow a similar process, the cross section compact filter appears to be more effective and space-saving than the other. The first diagram illustrates a compact filtration cross section filter system.
