Please review my IELTS task2: technology

Modern technology is now very common in most workplaces. How do you think this has changed the way we work? Do you think there are disadvantages to replying too much on technology. 




Cutting-edge devices have gained popularity in workplace. This phenomenon has changed how we work in a various way. However, the increasing reliance on technology can result in negative consequence in the long run. This essay will highlight how our working habits have been changed because of technology, followed by detailed analysis of the negative impact of staying heavily dependent on it .

Technology have revolutionized communication and operation in work places. First, since the appearance of the Internet and computers, communication between colleagues and clients have become easier than ever, which is time saving and economically efficient. Second, human forces are being replaced gradually with robots in many factories, airports, and even restaurants to not only economize and ensure humans’ safety in dangerous environments like in nuclear plants.

Nevertheless, technology are not without its drawbacks if it is overused. First, it has a devastating effect on colleagues’ relationship if they only stay in contact via email or telephone, which is common among office workers. The overuse of these devices can limit face-to-face interactions, compromising opportunities of coworkers to build a close rapport. In addition, by automatizing manufacturing process and altering humans with robots, countries may face severe unemployment, lowering citizens’ living standards and creating big burden to national budget.

In conclusion, technological inventions in workplace have done us a great favor in boosting our productivity. However, it is of vital importance to ensure an appropriate use that can prevent avoidable disadvantage of the excessive reliance.
