Topic: The illustrations show how chocolate is produced. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.
My essay:
The chart explains the way chocolate was made from the pods in the cacao tree to chocolate. It is clear to see that these are man-made processes with six main steps. Beginning with the pods that were collected from trees, then lied under the sunshine to dry and be transported to the factory by truck. Afterward, these beans were pressed under high stress in order to be a chocolate liquid.
At first, the ripe red pods were harvested from farms in Africa, Indonesia, and South America. Then the white beans inside these pods were fermented and spread in the trays under the sunlight in order to make it dry. After dried, the beans would be put in big packages and loaded on the truck or ship with the view of transporting it to the wasteland.
These dried beans then have to be roasted around about 330 degrees Celsius and taken out of the shell to be crushed by a machine. In conclusion, these tiny crushed beans were put into a machine that would be pressed and produced liquid chocolate.
