Please Review My IELTS Task 2 Writing! Thanks A Lot!!

Although there are a lot of translation software available, learning a language could still be advantageous. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

With the development of technology, most translation applications are available everywhere. In spite of its useful aspects, it is beneficial to study a language. Personally, I agree that learning a language has some significantly useful sides in some cases.


The first advantage is easily communicating with foreigners. For example, the most common language around the world is English, which is used and learned by many people. When foreigners come to a country, most of them speak English to communicate with local residents to get more bits of knowledge about culture and cuisine. Therefore, learning English is a good aspect to bridge the gap between foreigners and residents. It also helps the business will be easier to introduce and sell their products to foreigners.


Learning a language is also a way to get more opportunities in some fields, namely work or study abroad. For example, in some companies, If you want to find a job with a high salary or for promotion, knowing a language will be one of your advantages. Furthermore, you can have a chance to work at global companies. Especially, if you are a student who has intended to study abroad, learning a language will help you have an easy life when living in other countries. For instance, most universities and colleges around the world are required IELTS to study. As a result, you can easily study abroad if you have an IELTS qualification.


In conclusion, for the advantages mentioned above, I believe that there are some merits to learning a language in some circumstances instead of using translation applications.
