Please Review My IELTS task 2 Essay about children's free time.

You should spend about 40 minutes on this task. Write about the following topic:

Some children spend most of their free time taking part in clubs and other planned activities. Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?

Give reasons for your answers and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

These days some parents prefer to encourage their children to attend specific classes in their free time. In this way, kids should have planned leisure-time activities. In this essay, I explain some advantages and disadvantages of this and give my own opinion.

Children can benefit some advantages of attending different classes. First, they can improve their skills in some subjects like painting, sports, and music and even be a specialist in these contexts. This can help them make money now and in the future. Second, children will be able to find different friends if they are present in the classes. In this manner, they will be able to develop their social skills and become well-developed people.

Unfortunately, there are also some disadvantages to this. One reason is that registration for the classes can be expensive. In addition, commute to and from their place can be time-consuming and this is a problem both for children and their parents. Also, having a certain plan for free time forces kids to run from activity to activity. In this way, there is no flexibility and I think free time loses its concept. In addition, it can be tiring and boring to do activities for a relatively long time and have no variety of choices to spend free time. The children who have this schedule will not have enough time to follow their favorites and visit their relatives and family.

In conclusion, spending most of the children’s free time according to preplanned schedule has some advantages like improvement of their technical skills and developing their social skills. However, I think they should have enough time to play, watch TV, relax and be with their family and relatives.
