Although more and more people read news on the internet, newspapers will remain the most important source of news. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Despite the rising number of people who prefer online reading for news, it is believed that newspapers will continue being the most crucial source of information for many people. I completely agree with this point of view because of the following reasons.
First, the costs of most newspapers circulating in the market these days are inexpensive. As they are reasonably priced, the large majority of people can purchase them on a daily basis without worrying much about the their money. This helps explain the continuous high sales for newspapers in recent decades, regardless of the increasing popularity of reading on the Internet. If newspapers were made more expensive, they would probably be ignored by the community and stop being bought in large quantities. Therefore, because of the cheap prices, buying newspapers to read would be considered a wise choice when people wish to learn about new stories happening around them.
Second, newspapers give their readers accurate information. Unlike online posts that sometimes feature falsehoods and outdated information, the details presented in articles in newspapers are generally precise and up-to-date because they are written by experienced journalists. Furthermore, newspapers have good censorship. This is because they are skillfully proofread and edited to eliminate information that may cause readers to be misled into believing non-existent events or be provoked to commit illegal activities such as robbery. Owing to these factors, many people have chosen newspapers to stay updated on the latest social movements within their communities and around the world. They can also rest assured that there is little likelihood of encountering falsified articles.
In conclusion, I totally agree with the proposed statement. Newspapers would be regarded as the most important source of news in the future because of their cheap prices and objective information.
