People today do not feel safe either at home or when they are out. What are the causes? What are the solutions?

People currently feel unsafe either when they stay at home or go out. In my opinion, there are two main factors causing this problem: the widening gap between the rich and the poor, and an increase in the number of traffic accidents on the road. Due to these causes, people could come up with several solutions to tackle

this. There are some reasons why people feel unsecure no matter where they are. First of all, the gap defining the rich and poor is further apart. This might lead to unemployment and harsh life for poor people to provide their needsfulfilled. As a consequence, the number of crime in the society such as burglary or robbery to steal other people’s property is rising since the poor might have to force themselves committing the crimes. Secondly, people feel more dangerous when they are on the roads. An increase in the number of accidents is caused by illegal traffic offenders who cannot control themselves behind the wheels. In particular, over-speeding or drunk-driving are one of the causes.

To solve this problem, governments have responsibilities to increase the safety for the residents. First, there must be some actions to reduce the poverty. The leaders should provide vocational training for the poor so that they could find a stable job to purchase all their basis needs, or have a better management in the food market in order to reduce the burdens on food for the citizens. Second, the governments have better installed surveillance camera to help the police enforce the safety on public transport and punish offenders after causing crimes on time.

In conclusion, although people do not feel safe enough even when at home or they go out due to the widening gap between people’s conditions and the increasing dangers on the roads, there are still some solutions that the governments should take action to help people with their fears.
