Please review my IELTS task 2 essay

Topic:

Research says more and more business training and business meeting taking place online.
Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

My essay:

More and more online conference applications have been developed, companies have replaced their traditional meetings and trainings by the online ones. In my opinion, the merits of holding virtual meetings and trainings outweigh its drawbacks.

There are some benefits of hosting meetings online, for both employees and companies. Because the employees don’t need to present at the meeting rooms, they could save their cost of transportation and also their time. On the companies side, the leader of the meeting don’t have to prepare for the meeting rooms, the companies could cut down expenses on electrical equipments, and so on. Especially, I think it would brings considerable advantages for multinational corporations, because they do not have to worry about the international boundaries anymore. Besides, the virtual meetings or trainings can be recorded, individuals who can’t attend the meeting can follow up the meeting’s content later.

However, there are some important drawbacks with organizing online meetings. Virtual meetings can be started late because of technical difficulties of the web conference softwares, which could waste time and money. The second problem is about the potential of poor audio quality. If the internet connection is not good, the audio quality can be awful . This could create an ineffective meeting, because the people in the conference can’t listen and understand others thoroughly. The third problem is that, virtual meeting is not an effective way for companies to communicate with their valuable prospects or important stakeholders, because these conversations had rather be conducted by face-to face connection, so that the companies can understand their beneficial people deeply.

In conclusion, the online conferences has its merits and drawbacks. However, I believe that online meetings have contributed considerable benefits to the modern business, in daily context. This is because it is cheaper, more convenient, flexible, and easier to conduct meetings.
