Please review my IELTS Task 2 essay.

Topic: With the rise of e-books comes the decline in paper books. Some people see this as a good step forward while others do not. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this trend?

My essay:

Technology has been substantially shifting the way we come up with information. Particularly, there are increasing numbers of e-books and it leads to decrease in paper books. Some arguments find that is beneficial to keep going while others do not.

Increasing in the number of e-books expands a diverse selection. We can choose our favorite books to read from a massive collection of popular books on the internet. Also, it provides a great convenience for sale. People after deciding which books to buy, they just click several buttons on the electronic device to pay for it, and then in a jiffy they already possess the books. It’s very convenient and time-efficient. For example, a recent survey by Vietnam government found that 60% Vietnamese using the application named Kindle to explore e-books where there are different categories, such as fiction book, novel and history book, to choose from and people can buy it quickly.

On the other hand, e-books are unfiltered thoroughly, easily leads to coming up with misinformation for readers. While paper books are reliable sources of information. the paper books, such as text books, are still used to delivery widely knowledge to students at school because it still holds valuable lesson. It is crucial to prevent this trend from reducing out of enough amount provided to education. Although there are decreasing numbers of paper books, people still tend to keep reading them because it is good for the eyes, in contrast, staring at the electronic device screen for long hours affects negatively to reader eyesight.

In conclusion, the trend is favorable for this modern life because of the e-books usage conveniences, however, paper books are still an indispensable part for people’s lives, it should be considered to maintain plentifully for education and individuals who love reading in paper and enjoy it naturally.
