Essay:

In some countries, young adults outnumber older people. A country which has a comparatively large number of adolescents has pros and cons. However, in my opinion, the advantages of this circumstance outweigh the drawbacks.

There are certainly several benefits to having abundant of young people. To begin with, they are more productive than old people, and they are also healthier. As a result, they become an endless source for work force to the industries., which leads to economic growth and countries development. For example, India has no scarcity of skilled and talented young people. Therefore, companies will not be ever on the brink of work force shortage. Subsequently, young people with a new mindsets bring about necessary changes in the development of the nation. They keep up with the growth speed on the global scale, and their ideas may be a solutions which prevent nation from being obsolete, and retrogressive. Finally, governments can cut down on the subsidies for healthcare since young people don’t need as much aid as old people.

However, the downside of this situation can be taken into account. Youngsters need jobs and if countries can not generate enough employment opportunities for them, it can be a major problem to the economy. Governments will have to spend more money on financial aid for unemployed citizen. Also, joblessness can lead to an increase in criminal activities.

In conclusion, nations still have some pitfalls of having much young population, namely high unemployment rate, the rise illegal activities. However, its advantages are undeniable considerable and outweigh its downsides.
