Overall, there are 13 main steps in the process of building, which starts with finding hard-packed snow and ends when the ventilation holes are cut on the wall and roof of the finished igloo.
Initially, hard-packed snow is divided into smaller cubes by a snow saw. Large blocks are kept to build the base of igloo while other blocks are smoothed the edges for fitting the cycle form. They are put together from the foundation to the top. At the same time, people dig a hole under the wall, which aims to create an entrance. The last step in civil work is placing the last block which has much larger size than the others to cover the top.
Following that, people take snow into all crevices outside and smooth the inside wall by hand. After that, the entrance cultivating from previous step is built in desired shape and the hole is covered with snow block. At the end of process, people cut holes in the wall and roof, which is for the purpose of well ventilation inside.
