The chart shows the percentage of women and men in one Asian country who passed when they took their driving test between 1980 and 2010.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart compares the rates of people who succeeded in their driving test in an Asian country each ten year between 1980 and 2010. The data was categorized by genders: male and female.
Overall, more women were qualified for driving licenses than men in all surveyed years. Both indicators experienced an upward trend throughout the 30-year period.
Specifically, in 1980, nearly half of women taking the test gained a pass. The figures went up slowly by 4% to 5% in the next ten years, then reached a peak of nearly 70% in 2000, and dropped slightly to approximately two-thirds in the end.
The percentage for men who were qualified was comparatively low, at nearly 30% in 1980. A steady climb was recorded for men's rates in the next two decades, particularly at 37% and nearly a half, respectively. From 2000 to 2010, the rate remained unchanged, however approximately doubled those of the year 1980.
