Please Review My IELTS Task 1 Essay

I completed my essay for IELTS writing task 1 that really needs your comments to make it better. Thank you very much in advance.

Here is my writing:

The pie charts illustrate the percentage of people divided into different age groups in the years 1950, 2000 and the prediction for 2050.

Overall, it is clear that the rate of two younger age groups decreased dramatically and is predicted to continue this trend until 2050 while figures for the two older ones saw and will see the reverse.

According to the charts, in 1950, two groups, 41 to 65 and over 65, accounted for the smallest figures with 13% and 7% respectively, and then almost doubling in 2000. From 2000 to 2050, the figures for these groups are forecast to increase tremendously to 33% for the former and 35% for the latter which will be the largest percentages among four age groups.

By contrast, the remaining groups follow a different pattern. The proportion of people from 20 to 40 years old rose marginally from 27% to 28% between 1950 and 2000, which will be followed by a dramatic fall to 18% in 2050. Meanwhile, the rate for those under 20 stood at 53% in 1950, and then it began to decline greatly to 34% in 2000 which is projected to more than halve in 2050.
