Topic: The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparison where relevant.

Essay:

The graph compares the proportion of Australian who did physical activity regularly between two genders and in different age groups in 2010.

It can be seen from the data that in age group from 15 to 24, there was 52.8% of men doing regular physical activity while there was just 47.7% of women doing that. From age of 25 to 34, the number of women doing exercise were greater than that of men by 6.7%. The percentage of men working out between 35 to 44 years old was 39.5% which was fourths fifth of the proportion of women thereof. From age of 45 to 64, the rate of men exercising remained stable while the number of women gradually increased, according to the graph. The quantity of men and women was nearly equal in age 65 and over, 46.7% and 47.1% respectively.

Overall, there were more men doing regular physical activity than women during their teenagers and their mid-20s. After that, the percentage of men doing those decreased and women thereof increased.
