To meet the growing needs of food for the increasing population, country should make use of edible insects as foods. However, some people believe that insects are not only unhealthy but affect negatively the nature too. What are the benefits and drawbacks of eating insects?

It cannot be disputed that the world is experiencing a lack of food that is illustrated clearly in the developing and poor countries. Account to recent reports, several countries have manipulated edible insects instead of other normal food to exist. On contrary, others show their opinions about insect-related foods are not healthy for people and bring negative effects to the environment too. I strongly believe this action get two-side impacts for both populations and nature.
On the one hand, with the lack of food around the world, eating insects as food can help people to live. Particularly, the increase of gas or fossil fuels prices by the Ukraine-Russia war is the reason why plenty of countries should find another way to provide food for their citizens instead of using the budget to buy raw food. Moreover, insects that are prepared carefully can bring various benefits about changing tastes or taking many vitamins for the stomach. In addition, if people catch a variety of insects this can help to prevent factors affect to crops; therefore, people can produce a large number of agricultural for their whole town and country.
On the other hand, various health problems can appear with the consumption of unknown-origin foods. In detail, diarrhoea can happen because of eating dirty food which is unsafe prepared insects. For example, Thailand is famous for a variety of insect-based foods like silkworms, bamboo worms, and grasshoppers prepared as dried dishes and they are so delicious with various foreign tourists. However, if people can not cook these dishes carefully, they can get sick.
In conclusion, using edible insects is a thing that a myriad of nations have conducted for a long period, but people should opt for suitable insects and cook them safely to make them for use as food.
