Please Review My IELTS Essay: With youth crime on the rise, some people think that children who commit crimes should be punished equally to adults. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Part of the problems, in my perspective, is that delinquents are not as responsible for their crimes as adults, which might contribute to significant crime concentrations at that age. In many nations, adults who engage in illegal activity are always penalized more severely than children. This may lead to problems that older offenders utilize children as a legitimate means of carrying out their illicit activities. Furthermore, the kids may believe themself that violating social norms is not their major concern because they are either not penalized or punished very lightly. However, other children do not share this viewpoint because they are adequately educated by their parents and schools.

In addition to the severity of the punishment, education is the vital aspect to which people should pay attention to minimize the proportion of young offenders. Children who obtain a high-quality education are able to distinguish between the good and bad. This indicates that they are aware that misbehaving can adversely affect their opportunities of gaining a significant edge in the future and they even understand how terrible the criminal behavior can impact the victims’ lives. If they are aware of this, they will choose the proper things to do.

In conclusion, the severity of the penalty for youngsters should be increased in specific circumstances. However, education is another feature which can help reduce the crime rate more efficiently.
