Essay & Composition Writing

Please review my Ielts essay. Thank you very much!

In this day and age, many social media platforms now are more sensitive to the news of celebrities, as they are now much more focused on creating lots of daily columns about famous people. Therefore, this causes the excessive information of these people, especially the greater media coverage, which I believe that can impact negatively on children.

One reason why I agree with the view above is that with the ubiquitous e-news and celebrities' gossips nowadays, children will be more likely to click on those useless posts instead of collecting knowledge on the Internet or some International news such as technology, maths, developmental robotics. Yet, this leads to the harmful ignorance of their authentic study when pupils find the stories of well-known people more interesting.

Another problem is the consequence of bad behaviors if they are not previously raised awareness about what are the true and moral actions of famous individuals. The 'cult of celebrity' is detrimental to young people, they might imitate their idols whatever they can, not except the evil things. For example, a Youtuber uses his money to buy a lot of fast foods to make an eating challenge, which will create an exhilarating video. After watching, an innocent child sees this and follows, he steals the money from his mother and then similarly eats the unhealthy foods.

In brief, it is essential and noteworthy to acknowledge that the media coverage of celebrities is not prejudicial, however, if it is too much, it is certainly not beneficial. Moreover, the children are those extremely innocent people, a negative effect from inappropriate celebrity visuals can make them follow because they consider their idols as role models, thus, causing risks to society.
