More and more people are migrating to cities in search of a better life, but city life can be extremely difficult. Explain some of the difficulties of living in a city. How can governments make urban life better for everyone?

In today's world, many people hold the belief that cities are suitable environments for them to have a high quality of life; therefore, migration to urban areas is becoming a trend currently. Despite having a myriad of benefits, city life also has some difficulties and I believe that the governments should issue solutions as soon as possible to tackle these problems.

There are several obstacles when people choose to live in metropolises. First and foremost, more and more people migrating to urban areas can lead to environmental problems. Nowadays, people tend to use private transports such as cars and motorbikes realizing many exhaust fumes in the environment; therefore, dwellers living in cities can easily suffer from some respiratory illnesses including asthma and bronchitis. Furthermore, residing in cities is exorbitant compared to remote areas. In fact, people need to pay their money into various things ranging from utility bills and healthcare to rents. Hence, urban lives might become a financial burden for the poor as well as someone wanting to achieve high living standards.

However, governments can apply some particular methods to address these difficulties. Firstly, they should propagandize and educate people on the importance of environmental protection by reducing the use of private transports and enhancing people’s utilization of green energy. If each individual is more conscious of conserving the environment, we can make a huge difference in our lives in urban areas. Moreover, the government should reduce the prices of some essential products such as food and clothes to meet the needs of residents as well as the needy who reside in the cities so all people can have a better quality of life.

In conclusion, although there are various challenges when people live in the cities, the governments can issue some immediate solutions to deal with these existing difficulties.
