Please review my Ielts essay task 2

Topic: Living in a country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social problems, as well as practical problems. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

My essay:

It is true that speaking another language in a foreign country may be the disadvantages in both social and practical aspects. I believe that most of these issues are not thorny and can be overcome fairly quickly.

On the one hand, I concede that language barriers may foster a variety of problems for immigrants. Not being able to speak native language may affect people's ability to socialize properly or to perform daily activities such as asking or giving directions, shopping or working. When people are in work places or school environment, it is necessary for them to have a clear understanding of what others say in order to achieve good results. If such difficulties in communication last for a long period of time, people gradually feel stressed and isolated.

However, I argue that most of these problems are not too serious; therefore, it can be improved and handled after short time along with a concerted effort. Learning new language is definitely a time-consuming process but it totally belongs to human ability at the same time, especially when people are integrated in the environment of that language. The clearest evidence of this is students who study aboard can master the native language much faster than those who learn that language in their motherland.

Moreover, these days, due to the development of technology, it is much easier for people to gain knowledge via internet, books or televisions. Even if people are not good at this language, it is still possible to communicate or exchange information with native speakers through a number of highly advanced applications or websites.

In conclusion, there must be numerous hardships that people have to face while living aboard, although foreign language would no longer be a problem if people spend their time and effort to deal with it.

It is true that (Avoid these useless dummy-it clauses. Would you write something that is not true?) speaking another language in a foreign country (That makes no sense.) may be the disadvantages in both social and practical aspects.
