Please review my IELTS essay ( task 1 - band 6.0)

Topic: : The graph below shows relative price changes for fresh fruits and vegetables, sugars and sweets, and carbonated drinks between 1978 and 2009. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons

My essay:

The line graph compared price changes for fresh fruits and vegetables, sugars and sweets, carbonated drinks from Bureau of Labor Statistics and represent the US city averages for all urban consumers in January of each year by 1978 until 2009.

In general, the price of three food products groups increased over 30 years. Compared with consumer price index, all of the groups were risen up but the highest products group is fresh fruits and vegetables.

In the 1979 - 2009 period, group of fresh fruits and vegetables increased dramatically about 270 dollars compared with CPI. The highest point of the chart reached 340 dollars in 2008s thought it general fluctuated at the whole time. At the beginning, it varied more significantly than the last time, there was gradual decline from 335 to 70 dollars by the year 1979.

At the same time, the remaining groups including sugar and sweet; carbonated drinks hadn’t developed highly like fresh fruits and vegetables. However, both groups were steadily growing from 70 dollars to 150 dollars (SAS) and 155 dollars (CD). SAS group reached 200 dollars, which the highest point of the group in 2009, also it still lower than CPI 10 dollars at the same time. Beside of that, group of carbonated drinks was remaining above the price in 1985 – 1989 and gradual increased from 1990 to 2009, which was the lowest develop of the chart.
