MY ESSAY:
The schematic diagram illustrates the process by which carbonated beverages are manufactured in an automated assembly-line factory.
Carbonated beverages are drinks that contain dissolved CO2 which are widely favored by people in every country. The manufacturing process is a continuous one with a pipeline transport, broken down into 5 stages: purification, evaporation and carbonation, mixing, filtering and primary packaging, and then second packaging and transporting.
A municipal supply provides water to the factory directly via a pipe. The raw water then goes through a purification process (stage one) consisting of two steps. First, it is filtered to remove any unwanted solid matter like sand and small stones. The second step is to add water softeners and chemicals to the filtered water, removing undesired minerals. In the second stage, it is pumped into electric heaters, which evaporate the refined water into steam. The steam is cooled and condensed as it passes through a cooling pipe. Next, the water is transferred into an enclosure container, where it absorbs carbon dioxide. In the third stage, the carbonated water is combined with food colorings, syrup and flavorings in a tank, where an impeller rotates to blend the mixture. Fourth, it goes through a filter before being bottled or canned. The final stage consists of packaging multiples of the cans or bottles into cardboard cartons and loading them into a truck, ready for delivery to the supermarkets.
