Please review my IELTS essay task 1

Topic: The pie charts below show units of electricity production by fuel source in Australia and France in 1980 and 2000. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

My essay:

The pie charts illustrates the amount of electricity generation by different fuel materials in Australia and France over two separate years.
Overall, total production of electricity increased significantly form 1980 to 2000 in both Australia and France. While coal was used to produce the largest units of electricity in both years in Australia, nuclear power took into account for the most electricity generation in 2000 in France.

First and foremost, 50 units of electricity were generated from coal in 1980 and this number went up dramatically to 130 units in 2000 in Australia. Production from hydro power also showed a slightly climb to 36 units in 2000. However, there was a big decrease in the electricity generation from two other sources that are 18 units declined from natural gas and 8 units from oil.

In comparison, the most important fuel source in France was nuclear power, which generated almost 75% of the country's electricity. Coal and oil, on the other hand, remained a relatively amount of electric units produced. Interestingly, natural gas became major fuel material in 1989 with 25 units of electricity production but this amount considerably fell down to only 2 units in 2000. Also, hydro power experienced the similar trend, with 3 units of electricity reduced.
