The line graph compares the amount of goods transported in United Kingdom though four different ways between 1074 and 2002.
As can be seen from the chart, goods transported by road have the highest quantity while items delivered by pipeline have the lowest quantity.
In 1974, about 70 million tonnes of stuffs transported by road. Then, this number increased slightly from approximately 70 million in 1982 to about 80 million tonnes in 1990. Finally, it jumped to nearly 100 million tonnes in 2002. There was a rise in the quantity of things transported by pipeline from about 5 millions tonnes in 1974 to 21 million tonnes in 1994 and it remained stable that way until 2002.
The amount of goods delivered by sea increased significantly from 40 million tonnes in 1978 to nearly 60 in 1982 and then it stabilized that way until 1994. Meanwhile, the number of things conveyed by rail witnessed a fluctuation around 10 million tonnes from 1982 to 1994. Finally, it increased to roughly 40 million tonnes in 2002.
