Please review my IELTS essay

Some people believe that living in big cities is becoming more difficult. Others believe that is getting easier. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

People have different views about whether living in major urban areas is becoming easier or not. In my view, life in big cities has become more challenging.

On the one hand, it is understandable that living in big cities is getting easier. Big cities have a lot of companies, businesses, factories, and other small facticities like barber shops and restaurants, which offer people numerous chances of getting a job. Moreover, big cities are convenient environments that provide dwellers with a variety of skills and develop their talents. For example, if you have a talent for cooking, you can get hired to work in a restaurant and learn other essential skills like communication and analytical skills, then you can earn a promotion.

On the other hand, I would support the idea that life in urban areas is becoming more difficult. Living expenses in cities are expensive and sometimes unaffordable. You have to pay a higher cost for electricity, water, rent, and other unwanted fees like a parking fine while living in the countryside is much more reasonable and affordable. As a result, financial pressure makes city dwellers constantly depressed and tired. Even though you have a lot of opportunities to find a job in cities, your salaries may not provide you with a decent life.

To sum up, while it is apparent that living in big cities gives people a lot of opportunities to get a job, it is undeniable that the cost of living in urban areas is too high and unaffordable.
