Smartphones should be banned in the classroom. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is argued that students should not be allowed to bring phones into the classroom. Personally, I totally agree with this because they distract students from learning and allow them to cheat during exams or lessons.

To begin with, smartphones should be prohibited because they distract students from learning. First, there are a lot of interesting applications and websites, which makes them want to pay attention to instead of their lessons. This leads to poor performance on their examinations. Moreover, smartphones sometimes have notifications ringing during the lesson when students forget to turn them off, which really annoys other students and teachers as well. These distractions interrupt the lesson and prevent students from concentrating on their lessons that have a bad impact on their performance.

On top of that, smartphones allow students to cheat during their exams and lessons. With smartphones at their hand, students can search the given questions and get the answers easily instead of using their brains to think, which helps them get a good mark in a dishonest way and upsets the creativity and problem-solving skill of students as well. Academic dishonesty not only ruins the students cheating but also ruins the reputation of a high school and leads to the loss of opportunities for other students in the future.

To sum up, I completely concur with that smartphones should be prohibited in class because they distract students from learning and allow them to cheat during exams and lessons.
