TOPIC: As major cities in the world are growing today, so do their problems. What are problems for young people who are living in the cities as the result of continued growth? How problems might be solved?
It is a well-documented fact that more and more metropolitan areas are increasing, which leads to some troubles for young people. This essay shall discuss the serious issues that young people often encounter living in big cities and suggest solutions to solve them or at least reduce its effects.
Stressful life and the lack of accommodation are the main problems for young people in their city life. To begin with, young people may suffer from a stressful life. In detail, due to the overpopulation and the abundance of the workforce for the same job position, the youths cope with high competitiveness. In addition, the prices of goods and services are so expensive, while the money value decreases. Thus, the quality of the life reduces a lot and they may get some mental health problems and other diseases. Another one is that young dwellers encounter a lack of accommodation. In fact, there is a high cost of housing but the salary of young people is still low. It makes them buy a house which is a dream of young people meaning that they have to live in rented houses for their whole life.
In order to tackle these problems effectively, the government and individuals should take actions right now. In terms of the roles of individuals, they should balance the major tasks in their lives and they need to feel satisfied with the things that the youth have. Moreover, young people must continue to study to gain more knowledge, and experience or improve their skills. Therefore, they can meet the high requirement of the jobs and the changes in the current society. Regarding the actions implemented by the government, there is the construction of social housing for young people with low income. To be specific, banking systems give a favorable loan with a low-interest rate. The local authorities invest the national budget in building social housing, Thanks to its, the price of houses reduce considerably and young people can afford to buy them so that they can settle in their life and gain other goals in their lives.
In conclusion, although the growth of large cities is increasing with the many problems of young people being dragged, governments and individuals need to work together to take effective measures.
