Please Review My IELTS Essay?

Topic: Some people think that technology makes life complex, so we should make our life simpler without using technology. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

These days, using technology is becoming more prevalent than ever. While some people stick to that technology makes our life complicated so we should not use technology any more, others are of the belief that our life is simple with technology. I partly agree with the latter for the following reasons.

On one hand, technological devices exert positive impacts on almost every aspect of our life. First of all, thanks to the inventions of these gadgets, people can have an unlimited place to create and store documents in the long term. For example, not only do billions of people around the world nowadays use computers to make presentations, statistics and the like but they can also save these documents in the cloud storage. Secondly, technology is an ideal platform for everyone to access a fertile source of knowledge. The Internet, a small part of technological systems, proves it. People receive a huge amount of knowledge a day through many types of information, including online newspapers, a Youtube video or an argument essay on the Internet. Last but not least, technological gadgets are useful tools to connect many people everywhere and every time. For instance, applications like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat help people keep in touch with others and even make friends online without worrying about far distance and time.

On the other hand, the development of technology leads to several unwanted problems. Firstly, this tendency breeds new types of crime, such as hackers, gambling and organized crime. Some people can make use of security holes to spread social evils, which endangers many technological users. As a result, the rate of crime soars and the rate of countries’ development declines at the same time. Moreover, because of the convenience technology creates, people tend to depend on these technological equipment and disconnect with reality. Some people become isolated with others and have no inkling of social contact. Survey has revealed that more and more youngsters spend all of their days surfing the Internet and isolate themselves from society.
