My essay:

The given line chart gives information on the proportion of British adults who chose a vegetarian diet from 1960 to 2020. At first glance, the percentage of young British advocates of vegetarianism has increased dramatically since 1960. Despite a significant drop in 1980, the number of vegetarians remained steadily from 2000 to 2020.
In the year 1960, none of the Britishers followed a vegetarian diet. However, their number rose sharply and peaked in 1980 at approximately 15 percent. After that, it dropped dramatically in the next ten years, followed by a slight increase and continued to plummet to the lowest point at about 5 percent in the mid of 1990s. From then, it fluctuated steadily and continued to grow from 2000 to 2010. Finally, the ratio leveled off and remained until the year 2020 at about 10 percent
