Some people argue that teaching children of different abilities together benefits all of them. Others believe that intelligent children should be taught separately and given special treatment. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

It is a common belief that students of distinctive academic performances should be taught together to gain the most benefits. However, there is a more persuasive argument that there should be special classes with better facilities teaching only talented kids.

On the one hand, letting all students study in the same class seems to be an effective way to support their learning process. In fact, they will explore and understand the lessons clearly from basic definitions and exercises. Therefore, they will gain an in-depth knowledge of many subjects that are suitable with their ages. For example, in many kindergartens, kids are divided into random classes with others who are at the same age. They will have chance to study together with primary lessons by conscientious teachers.

On the other hand, it would be more reasonable to teach intelligent children in a separate class. This may be because these students have excellent memories and high logical thinking, thus, simple lectures of normal class cannot demand their talented abilities. Offering them a higher class with more unique and professional lessons can stimulate their learning and thinking, leading to greater academic results. Take an example of Vietnamese high schools, each Vietnamese province builds up at least one high school for the gifted. This is an ideal school where all the best students of the regions can make friends and study together, moreover, compete heavily in local or national competitions solely for intelligent boys and girls.

To sum up, while it can be a beneficial approach to teach students of different studying levels together, it is apparent that talented children should be educated in another group as a way to motivate them to show off their excellent abilities.
