Economic progress is often used to measure a country's success. However, some people believe that other factors are more important. What other factors should also be considered when measuring a country's success? Do you think one factor is more important than others?
A country’s success is often measured by its economic progress. However, beside economic status, there would also be other factors that affact a country’s prosperity such as education, health and human rights. From my point of view, there is no factor that is more important than the others.
To commence with, together with economic development, education is one of the essential element when evaluating a country’s advancement. People need to be well-educated if they want to contribute to the highly-skilled workforce if the country. Furthermore, in order for a country to well develop, health should be considered a crucial element as individuals can do nothing without health. Besides, human rights is also one of the key factors to a country’s success since there uould be social unrests which affect economic activities of that country if people are not treated properly.
While some people might believe that one factor if more important than the others in the development of a country, I still hold the view that in order for a country to flourish, all related factors as mentioned above should be included simultaneously. If a nation only has economic progress but people there are sick, then it is just rich in terms of money. Then if a country only has stable social status, it still needs money to develop.
All things considered, beside economic advancement, there should be others factors contributing to a country’s prosperity. Personally, I think that all of these factors should be valued as important as each other when evaluating a country’s development.
