Over the last few decades, public transportation is ever-increasing and popular in our world. It plays a vital role and an indispensable part of our life. It, on the contrary, is firmly assumed that individual vehicles are the best method of transportation while a group of people argue that public transport service should be used for this purpose. Under scrutiny, I wholeheartedly agree that public transportation is the main mean of transit. The essay will be analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of public transport services in the following paragraphs.

On the one hand, public transportations offer people plenty of noteworthy positive effects. The biggest advantage is that the public transportation put to daily use may help ease the traffic flow. It also leads to the air better with the fewer exhaust fumes from cars. Take the example of bus. One bus can accommodate up to 40 passengers, thus, the volume of vehicles will be reduced on the roads. Furthermore, should public transportation be used more, more money will be saved. Indeed, the money we spend on petrol pumps can be cut down dramatically instead of using personal cars. Therefore, not only can using public transport reduce environmental pollutions but the money also is able to be reduced.

On the other hand, there are a number of disadvantages of using public transport that people should take into consideration. The serious drawback is that public transportations are not as safe as private cars. In fact, a great number of criminal activities on buses or trains such as pocket thieves, stealing the phone, etc. Another additional disadvantage of the use of public transportation is that our time can not be wasted unless we use the public transportation. On account of waiting for the bus or train, it is quite time-consuming and annoyed for who get to their workplaces or educational institutions. Thus, individuals feel stressed because the bus does not arrive and they will be late. Consequently, using private cars is one of the best ways to prevent us from several threats as well as save time.

To sum up, merits as the public transport services are,it is certain that using private cars could bring about a variety of benefits. However,from my perspective, I do believe in the merits of mass transit outweigh the demerits because it will protect our environment.
